12-inch HP TouchSmart TX2 With Multi-Touch Display

HP has updated its TouchSmart laptop series with the new 12-inch TX2. The tablet PC comes with a capacitive touchpanel that can track two points simultaneously, operates with fingers or a stylus, and comes with the Mediasmart 2.0 interface customized for the notebook. Weighing 4.5-pound, The TX2 is powered by a 2.1GHz AMD Turion X2 processor, ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics, 8GB RAM, 500GB HDD 5400 RPM, Bluetooth, integrated webcam, 8x DVD burner, VGA out and a digital pen. The 12-inch HP TouchSmart TX2 tablet PC is priced at $1,149.

Red Dell Inspiron Mini 9 Netbook

Lucky Japanese friends across the Pacific will enjoy the new red version of the Dell Inspiron Mini 9 netbook. They can also take the latest model of the Inspiron Mini 9 Platinum Package that comes with a larger 32GB SSD for approximately $565 after taxes. There is no word on a worldwide release date.

Prime Note Cartina UM Linux Powered Netbook

DosPara has recently introduced the new Linux powered netbook in the form of the Prime Note Cartina. Weighing at only 1.1kg, this netbook features an 8.9 inch (WSVGA) LCD with an Atom N270 CPU, 120GB of HDD, 1GB RAM, and WiFi B/G. Good news that the company also provides the driver for Windows XP OS. Only 30 units of these Prime Note Cartina UM that wil be available in the Japanese market.

Toshiba Releases Its First Netbook in Japan

Toshiba Japan has decided to release their first netbook for the Japanese market. The NB100 feature an 8.9-inch LCD screen with 1024 x 600 resolution, a 1.6GHz Atom CPU, 1GB of RAM, a 120GB hard drive, WiFi, and will be available in either Ubuntu or Windows XP OS. Available in Cosmic Black, Champagne Gold, and Bright Silver, the price starts at $757, which is more expensive than the price in Europe for approx. €472.

LG revealed the XNOTE P310 Series.  This 13.1-inch laptop is powered by a 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 processor, 3GB DDR3 memory, 2GB of Turbo Memory, 320GB HDD and a high-performace nVidia GeForce 9600M GT graphics processor.  Wrapped in a nice aluminum finish, the LCD is LED backlit for maximum brightness and to reduce eye-squinting.  Unfortunately, the announcement didn’t come with price information, but they did come with those pretty, smiling Korean girls.
