 ASUS N50V 15.4″ Notebook

The N50V is a stylish 15.4-inch notebook computer for students as well as home users who are looking for a powerful multimedia laptop and doesn’t mind paying high bucks for it. The latest addition in ASUS’ N-Series is very similar to N20A in designing. But specs-wise both are quite different. It boasts the Super Hybrid Engine (SHE) which consists of the Power4 Gear Hybrid application and the Energy Processing Unit (EPU), providing up to 35% more battery life. Also on the offer is Express Gate for 8sec boot up, facial recognition technology, fingerprint reader, and built-in Air Ionizer that not only helps clean the air around the user of allergens and germs, but also promotes air-flow and circulation.

The SSD version available in Japan on July 12th

Asus Japan announced their U2E notebook equipped with a 11.1-Inch LCD Screen in WXGA Resolution (1366×768 ), features now 32GB of SSD Driver, and will be available on July 12th for 1770€.
The U2E is powered by a Core 2 Duo U7600 CPU (1.20GHz), and features 2GB of RAM (up to 4GB), Mobile Intel GM965 Express chipset, as well as WiFi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.0, multicar-reader, 0.3 Megapixel camera, fingerprint sensor, and micro-DVI.

Asus Unveils Laptop Prototype With Built-in Projector

Asus has showed off a laptop prototype that comes equipped with a built-in projector at the Computex 2008. This built-in projector can rotate and swivels. There is no further details about the quality of the projector. Stay tuned for more update

ASUS intros two notebooks with AMD Turion X2 Ultras

ASUS announced the launch of two next-generation notebook computers with the recently introducesd AMD Turion X2 Ultra dual-core mobile processors. The 15.4-inch widescreen F5Z and 14-inch F8Tr notebooks share ATI’s Radeon HD 3000-series graphics cards for improved graphics and video processing. Along with the rest of the ASUS notebook range, either new notebook PC offers a proprietary operating system that grants access to programs such as Internet, email and chat programs just eight seconds after powering up the laptop. The F5Z sports an integrated 1.3-megapixel swiveling web cam, and the company’s LCD adjustment technology. Other specs are thin, but apart from the CPU and graphics chipset, should share many of the same hardware and software as other laptops in ASUS’ F5-series, most closely resembling the F5N content levels.

The F8Tr’s body is made using the company’s high-tech manufacturing process for scratch-resistant surfaces. It also features a high-resolution webcam that is capable of scanning a user’s face thanks to the company’s SmartLogon technology, along with a fingerprint scanner for security. Bluetooth and WLAN 802.11 a/g/n wireless connection options are integrated as well.

ASUS has not announced release date or prices for its newest offerings.

Asus tank all-bamboo notebook for the wood-trimmed U6

The new Asus U6 features a handy 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo T7700 Processor with 1GB RAM and some very “tashani” (which roughly translated means superbly show-off worthy ) bamboo trimmings that are simple heavenly in their au-natural appeal and soothing glossy finish. I’m just not sure I would wanna cough up $2000 for a half-bamboo novelty though.
