HP has updated its TouchSmart laptop series with the new 12-inch TX2. The tablet PC comes with a capacitive touchpanel that can track two points simultaneously, operates with fingers or a stylus, and comes with the Mediasmart 2.0 interface customized for the notebook. Weighing 4.5-pound, The TX2 is powered by a 2.1GHz AMD Turion X2 processor, ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics, 8GB RAM, 500GB HDD 5400 RPM, Bluetooth, integrated webcam, 8x DVD burner, VGA out and a digital pen. The 12-inch HP TouchSmart TX2 tablet PC is priced at $1,149.

DosPara has recently introduced the new Linux powered netbook in the form of the Prime Note Cartina. Weighing at only 1.1kg, this netbook features an 8.9 inch (WSVGA) LCD with an Atom N270 CPU, 120GB of HDD, 1GB RAM, and WiFi B/G. Good news that the company also provides the driver for Windows XP OS. Only 30 units of these Prime Note Cartina UM that wil be available in the Japanese market.

LG revealed the XNOTE P310 Series.  This 13.1-inch laptop is powered by a 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 processor, 3GB DDR3 memory, 2GB of Turbo Memory, 320GB HDD and a high-performace nVidia GeForce 9600M GT graphics processor.  Wrapped in a nice aluminum finish, the LCD is LED backlit for maximum brightness and to reduce eye-squinting.  Unfortunately, the announcement didn’t come with price information, but they did come with those pretty, smiling Korean girls.

HP has announced the availability of its Pavilion dv3500t 13.3 inch notebook in the US. Weighing at 4.12 pound, the desktop replacement features an Intel Core 2 Duo processor and NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS 512MB video card with a maximum of 8GB RAM, 400GB hard drive, DVD burner. Its 13.3 inch LCD screen offers 1,280 x 800 display resolution with an optional LED backlight. Other cool specs include fingerprint reader, 802.11n wireless connectivity, ExpressCard slot and 5-in-1 memory card reader. Toshiba launched the new Dynabook NX Series notebook. The laptop comes equipped with a 12.1 inch LED backlighted LCD screen with WXGA resolution (1280×800), a 1.20GHz Intel Core 2 Duo SU9300 CPU, supports up to 3GB2GB of RAM, 128GB of SSD or 160GB of SATA HDD, and DVD Super Multi Drive, Wi-Fi b/g/n, three USB ports, e-Sata port, and SD card slot. The Toshiba Dynabook NX Notebook retails for €1200 (HDD model) or €1930(SSD model).

The F8 is the world’s lightest 3G-ready notebook with a 14.1 inch wide display and an internal optical drive. Weighing 3.7 pounds, the Toughbook F8 has an integrated handle for maximum portability. The notebook is based on Intel’s Core 2 Duo processor, and offers up to 4GB of RAM, bright widescreen LCD and a 160GB shock-mounted hard drive.

According to Sony, the Vaio TT is the world’s lightest computer with Blu-ray Disc technology, housed in a lightweight carbon-fiber chassis weighing 2.87 pounds and measuring less than 1-inch thin. The notebook is powered by Intel’s Centrino 2 mobile techonolgy, and features an 11.1-inch widescreen LED backlight display with Sony’s XBRITE-DuraView LCD technology, delivering 100 percent color saturation for a wide range of vibrant colors and true-to-life picture quality. The standout feature of this ultraportable are a dual channel 256GB (128GB X 2) solid state drive (SSD) with RAID technology, and WWAN.

HP has finally released the HDX16t entertainment notebook PC that features an Intel Core 2 Duo processor with NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT 512MB video card, 16 inch LCD display, up to 3GB RAM, up to 320GB hard drive, DVD burner/Blu-ray Combo Drive, integrated HDTV tuner, HDMI and VGA outputs and Wi-Fi N connectivity. The laptop is powered by Microsoft Windows Vista OS. The price starts from $1,374.99 upwards, depending on the configuration.
